About Whirl Group LLC

Scott McConville is principal consultant and founder of Whirl Group LLC. Scott has managed technical departments for high profile technology companies and music studios and has served as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Technical Officer for an IT consulting company where he was responsible for supporting the information technology needs of hedge funds, money management firms and non-profit organizations in the NYC area.

Scott has also worked for Microsoft cofounder Paul Allen and his Seattle based company Vulcan. He managed technology operations and installations teams that travelled the globe supporting a diverse portfolio of projects and Vulcan’s mission to “create a new kind of future”.

With Whirl Group, Scott has founded several startups; Whirl Entertainment, a video production company that develops original content, Womp!Bam!Boom!, a web site for teaching music to kids, and ArtUps.org where creative people come together for non-commercial creative projects.

Developed by Whirl Group, Womp!Bam!Boom! is a web-based application providing videos, tools and educational resources to teach music to kids. Ultimately, we want more kids to enjoy playing music and to have an opportunity to develop their talents. We offer music teachers practical structure and an inspired community, establishing an affordable solution to organizing lessons and assigning homework, while also building communities for instructors, students and parents.
